Overview
We are seeking a CAM Technician to join our dental lab team. The CAM Technician will be responsible for operating computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) equipment to produce dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and dentures. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of computers and machinery and the ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions and models.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operating CAM equipment to produce dental prosthetics
– Reading and interpreting dental prescriptions
– Maintaining and troubleshooting CAM equipment
– Ensuring that all work meets quality control standards
– Keeping accurate records of production and inventory
Qualifications:
– Strong understanding of computers and digital dental technology
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Strong ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot
Duties will include nesting jobs into CNC machines and 3D printers, managing inventory and organizing materials (implant componentry, zirconia disks, PMMA blanks, etc.) regular maintenance and calibration of machines, managing and uploading and downloading data from portals and 3D-scanning to digitize models for production in preparation for cad design, and cutting green state zirconia for sintering.
The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in Ivoclar Programill CAM/DS-CAM and Asiga Composer software. Computer literacy is a must, experience is an asset but not required, will train the right candidate. Applicant should be detail-oriented and meticulous.
Sunrise Dental Lab is a high-end boutique dental lab that specializes in full arch dental implant cases and the cam portion requires advanced understanding of cam software to properly nest the large and complex cases.
