Collections Specialist
P&R Paper Supply in Redlands, CA is looking for a Collections Specialist. We are looking for a motivated person who is looking to grow with a great company that is hiring to keep up with a continually expanding customer base.

Job purpose
The Collections Specialist is responsible for reconciling customer accounts, monitoring the aging of account balances, and working with customers to collect payments with the goal of retaining the account, while keeping them within their payment terms and reducing bad debt expense.
Duties and responsibilities:
Past Due AR Balances
Review active customer orders that are on credit hold
Resolve payment issues quickly to release orders to ship
Review AR aging reports & resolve delinquent balances
Negotiate acceptable restitution on balances in default
Arrange payment plans with active and inactive customers
Provide invoice copies as needed
Process Payments
Prepare statements
Identify & review accounts that need demand letters processed
Monitor 10-day deadline & follow up as needed
Review for submission to collection agency
Payment discrepancies
Review and resolve short payments
Apply credits/unapplied cash as agreed to with customer
Resolve invoice discrepancies (price, sales tax, qty, delivery issues, etc)
Research and prepare credit requests
COD’s
Assist drivers with delivery issues
Review for possible terms
Review unpaid COD invoices
Contact customer to collect NSF payments and fees
Receive and respond to collections correspondence
Assist with document processing and storage
Month end statement review
Other assigned duties
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent & 2 years college preferred
Experience
2 years + in Accounting
Microsoft Office
Proficient Outlook
Intermediate Excel skills
Basic Word Skills
Infor SX.e & DataPA (training will be provided)
Preferred Skills
FDCPA Certified
Small Claims Experience
Skip Tracing

Working conditions
• High volume office work during regular scheduled business hours (7:30AM-4:30PM, Mon-Fri), with some overtime as needed.
